The Chalet

Maison du Cœur sleeps 10 people. The accommodation is on 2 levels with an office / exercise space on a mezzanine and enjoys exceptional views of the valley.

This tastefully decorated home brings modern and mountain together, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

The chalet is located immediately beneath the “Tete d’Elephant” which is only a 5-minute walk to access the Via Ferrata, 10 minute walk to the Abbey and is also the starting point of many hikes.

Maison du Cœur is a 5 minute drive to St Jean D’Aulps. Ten minutes drive to Le Grande Terche ski area and only 15 minutes to the Ardent lift, Montriond.

Layout

On the ground floor : entrance into the kitchen with gas hob and oven, American fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and separate tumble dryer. The kitchen is well equipped.

Exiting the kitchen into a small hall you can access the ground floor bedroom and bathroom. From this hall you can access the Snug, main hall, open plan dining room and stairs to the 1st floor.

The main lounge has 2 French doors, both with access to the balcony and mountain views . This room is spacious, light and airy and has a glass balcony around the stairwell. You can also access the mezzanine from here where there is an office desk and room for exercise.

On 1st floor, there are;
2 Double Bedrooms with ensuite’s and
2 double bedrooms (1 with balcony access and mountain views)
1 bathroom with bath and shower over.

Outside there is a beautiful entrance with grape vine, balcony (with gate) and parking for 3 cars.

Features & Things to do

Great location, the Maison du Cœur is within quick and easy driving distance of the Portes du Soleil ski area. The Roc d’Enfer is ideal for family skiing and is 15 mins away. The Ardent gondola, with access to Les Lindarets, Avoriaz and access to Switzerland is a 20 minutes drive.
Morzine is the nearest main town, 25 minutes drive away, and from here you can access Les Gets.
In summer the chalet is ideally located to access a number of road cycling routes which frequently feature in both the men’s and women’s Tour de France races and other major cycling events. Col de Encranaz, Col de la Joux Vert, Col de Corbier and Col de Joux Plane are all a short distance away.
Mountain biking is also very popular in the summer season with ever increasing lift access at Ardent, Morzine, Les Gets and Roc d‘Enfer.
Behind the chalet, less than 5 minutes walk away are the Tete L’elephant Via Farrata routes for those with a head for heights. From the top of the L’elephant, on a clear day the summit of Mont Blanc is visible.
Numerous walking routes are possible from the chalet, with well sign posted routes to Le Biot and St Jean d’Aulps Longer routes are also possible with varying degrees of difficulty and length.
Lake Montriond is 20 minutes drive away where paddle boarding and swimming are all possible. Further afield you can travel down the valley to Evian, 40 minutes away, sample the mineral water and further delights of Lac Laman.
The area is steeped in history. Less than 1km away is the Aulps Abbey founded at the end of the 11th Century, the former Cistercian Monastery is regarded as one of the jewels of Cistercian architecture and now houses the museum of the ‘Domaine de Dēcouverte de Vallee D’Aulps’, a complete history of the Abbey.
90 minutes away in Geneva is a beautiful selection of shops and boutiques where you find all the most famous brands and luxury goods.
